About us, what we do, and how you can use and benefit from the Sales Training Sales Tips website.


Hi, I’m Stephen Craine and I run the Sales Training Sales Tips website.

As a working sales manager I rely on the sales and motivation training you’ll see on this website.

It is my hope that you can benefit from the skills and experience I have gained in my successful sales career.

So in case you’re interested, here’s some information about me and the Sales Training sales Tips website.

The aim of the site is to offer alternative sales training from a working sales manager to everyone that sells for a living.


That includes full time sales professionals, people new to sales, and those that sell as only a part of their role.

On the pages of this site I want to offer sales training and related information from a working sales manager’s perspective. That means everything has been developed, tried, and tested in real sales situations by working sales people and on real customers.

My paradigm experience in sales

I’ve worked in sales for over two decades as a salesman, sales manager, and corporate trainer.

I started out in Direct Sales, as many beginners do, selling appliances door to door.

I moved on to Field Sales for larger companies, and I’ve managed teams in a range of market places selling both products and services to the public and B2B.

It was while working in Telesales for a major TV and Communications provider that I had a paradigm experience and saw for the first time how techniques from other disciplines could be brought into sales, and the how motivation is the key to sales success.

NLP - Motivation - Peak Performance

I was introduced to NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and sales psychology. Jungian theories followed for both selling skills and sales management training.

Since then I’ve worked on incorporating these techniques into the sales, motivation, and sales management, skills I train to my teams and private clients.

In both formal training presentations and day to day to sales management I use: NLP, Peak Performance coaching, Life Coaching skills, and Motivation Techniques.

I also work closely with a clinical hypnotherapist, you can see her details further down the page, and we use hypnotherapy to improve motivation and overcome obstacles to success.



Practical and easy to use

As a sales manager I've seen a lot of complicated sales training that looks good in the classroom but my sales teams never used it back out in the field.

Although I have incorporated many technical sales techniques into my sales training I have kept it practical and easy to use. That's the difference between a sales training company and a working sales professional. I and my teams rely on achieving resluts by using the skills in real situations.

Many sales training companies have to make their courses different, technical, and give them fancy names to market them.

Sales books with 200 pages may only have 2 or 3 practical techniques and you have to plod through the pages to find them.

The Internet has changed all that and you can click around and find specific sales skills to increase results and grow your business.

The site is very popular with sales people in smaller organisations, or self employed and small business owners.



A lot of visitors to the site have asked for sales training that they can put into action quickly and start getting results.

In response to this, I have put the training courses I present to my working sales teams into workbooks that you can download from the site.

There is a lot of non effective sales and motivation training out there. Maybe you have been on courses that take up your time and cost the company a small fortune.

Then a month later they are forgotten, everyone goes back to what they were doing before the course and the time and money was wasted.

There are some good training companies out there, but there are also many that will cost you money and do nothing for your business. Often you can get the results you want by focusing on one area of sales at a time.

The visitors to this site click through the pages and find the area that they need to work on. They use the free sales training and pick up and adapt the ideas for their own use. They find the workbook course that will give them the best benefits now and put it into action.
