Sales scam or legitimate sales technique

by L Petso
(Iowa)

In response to the article in the Sales Buzz Newsletter, I think this is a sharp practice.

Perhaps not a scam, but certainly not being honest about the true charges the customer will pay if they sign this contract.

They are hiding the real cost and hoping the customer will quickly scan over the details. No doubt the salesman gets his comission and the company lawyers try and hold the customer to the 3 year contract.

This is what gets sales operations a bad name.

In answer to your question in the article, no I would not use this sharp practice myself.
