Up to now if you wanted to really train yourself, or your sales people, in how to use NLP to increase sales, you first had to go through the lengthy process of becoming competent in NLP.

This is something I’ve done and it was very worthwhile, but it’s expensive and time consuming.

Yes there are courses published by sales training companies that claim to include NLP.

And, there are NLP practitioners that say they can train you in sales.

But in my 20 years of managing and  training sales teams I have not come across a course that effectively combines both.

There are some moments in your life when you think, ‘Was I just sent a message,’ and you learn a great lesson that gives you the kick stat that you need. 

I sat in my garden taking a coffee break from answering questions on my sales training website. And you know when you get those quiet, peaceful moments , you become totally absorbed by where you are, no noise, and for a few seconds your mind actually does relax and takes a break. 

I became aware of 2 small birds in a shrub a safe distance from me. Closer to me is the feeding net packed with seed.  I could see both the birds looking at it, taking a few hops up the shrub branch and then moving back into their comfort zone. 

One of the birds took the opportunity and flew the short distance to land on the feeder. It wasn’t far, just a step away, but it was a challenge, a risk, and after thinking about what the gains could be the bird went for it. 

The bird was safe and sat there munching away on the nuts and seeds. It kept looking around and watching for any threats, but to be honest there was no real danger, I couldn’t have caught it if I wanted to. 

The other little bird?
